2019 Tournament Hospitality
There’s nothing like a Detroit Party! The fun starts when our Hospitality Room opens at 5pm Friday afternoon. Tournament central will be the Embassy Suites Regency Room on Friday where team managers will register their teams and pay any balance due and players and guests will congregate to meet and greet their teammates as well as welcome old and new friends from other teams.
Dinner will be served Friday night in the Regency Room from 6pm to 8pm. We are serving a hot pasta dish and a deli tray so come hungry. To quench your thirst, we will have a choice of two different draft beers. After dinner there will be snacks to munch on until the Sundae Bar with all the fixings is served at 9:30pm for those who love a sweet dessert as they prepare for the Tournament Blind Draw at 10pm.
For the out-of-town teams, a hot breakfast is served in the Embassy Suites Atrium each morning from 7am to 10am. And we are providing lunches at the diamonds both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday’s lunch is a grilled chicken sandwich with a side of macaroni and cheese and a brownie. Sunday we are grilling kosher hot dogs and hamburgers. On Saturday night the hospitality room opens at 6pm and we will be serving pizza, chicken tenders and chicken wings. Great fast food after three games of softball.
Sunday night’s banquet will feature a plated dinner in the Embassy Suites’ Ambassador and Diplomat rooms. A highlight of the Banquet will be our guest speaker former Detroit Tigers’ pitcher, Dave Rozema. Dave has great stories about his MLB career, many of which will have you laughing.
We put a great amount of focus on our hospitality events to ensure that they do not disappoint because these are opportunities for players to interact with one another to create bonds and great memories between us that will hopefully last us a lifetime.
You may come for the softball but we hope you will be equally pleased with our Detroit hospitality!
