2003 Tournament // Detroit, Michigan

champion2003MontrealNow that the 2003 International Jewish Men’s Tournament has come and gone it is time to reflect on our collective accomplishments. After 49 slo-pitch softball games over exactly 48 hours, a resilient Montréal Metro International team led by captain Mark Rothpan emerged as our 25th champion by defeating a powerful Detroit Bashers team captained by Larry Horn. The championship game featured clutch hitting and outstanding pitching by both teams. Congratulations to both teams!

We pledged to you that we would host a tournament that would exceed your expectations and set a new standard for future tournament host committees to emulate. It is our sincere hope that we did not disappoint. From the many e-mails we have received since the end of the tournament it appears that we succeeded in our mission. With thanks to all that participated in the 2003 International Jewish Men’s Slo-Pitch Tournament in Detroit, we look forward to seeing you again in Winnipeg.
